UNSTICK YOUR THINKING

Ignite your creative pulse at THE HOUSE of MAD ALCHEMY. Unlock fresh perspective, move past blocks, and find clarity through the art of collage - curated for corporates, professionals, creatives, wellness seekers, and anyone looking for a reset.

THE PROCESS Merge street art, collage, and music on 12-inch vintage vinyl covers in an exhilarating, surprisingly meditative space designed to quiet the mind, shed perfectionism, and reframe stuck perspectives. Working with a studio collection I bring directly to each session, including vintage score sheets, old music mags, my own past artwork, and a plethora of unique elements, you will physically tear, layer, and build a heavily textured piece of art. We’ll cap things off with an intro to spray painting, adding a final layer of depth to seal your piece.

THE OUTCOME: A space that encourages you to create without fear - embracing individuality, breaking past standard conventions, dissolving creative friction, and fundamentally transforming how you see the process and what art can be.

THE MOVEMENT: Hang your finished artwork in your home or office - or use it as the cover art for your next release - while joining a growing collective: an interconnected web of individual evolution where every piece, no matter who builds it, speaks to the next.

This is raw CREATIVE ALCHEMY: turning old layers into fresh insight, tapping into your authentic voice, and leaving deeply inspired.

Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.” – Pablo Picasso

Reviews

“I thought I was going to this for my 14-year-old daughter, but I ended up enjoying it just as much. The studio is in a really nice area that's so easily accessible. My favorite part was learning to spray paint! Sheena was so welcoming, really easy to talk to, and just an all-round beautiful soul. I highly recommend this class for all ages.”

“Thank you so much for a relaxing and creative morning. I don't feel like a natural creative, but Sheena inspired me to experiment more and move away from my tendency towards perfectionism. This was so therapeutic and I got some lovely artwork to take away that's personal to me.”

— Shakira

“I arrived feeling quite unsure of myself, but Sheena immediately created such a welcoming and relaxed environment that those nerves quickly disappeared. She struck the perfect balance between guidance and allowing individual expression. The whole experience felt incredibly cathartic and surprisingly therapeutic. I came away feeling proud of what I created!”

THE METHOD

  • Alchemy: The Modern Art of Transmutation

Alchemy is often misunderstood as a dusty, medieval quest to turn lead into gold. In reality, it is the ultimate blueprint for transformation. Whether you are navigating a corporate merger or seeking deeper spiritual alignment, alchemy is the process of taking "raw material" (an idea, a challenge, or a heavy heart) and refining it into something of immense value.

    What is Alchemy?

At its core, alchemy is conscious change. It is the bridge between the invisible (thought and spirit) and the visible (form and reality). It’s about recognising that nothing is fixed; everything is in a state of becoming.

    • For the Corporate Leader: It’s the "pivot," the skill of turning a market disruption or a failing strategy into a distinct competitive advantage.
    • For the Spiritual Seeker: It’s "shadow work," the courage to face internal blockages and turn them into personal power.
    • For the Person in Pain: Have you ever been so heartbroken that it felt like your entire world had shattered? Alchemy is what happens next. It is the process of taking that devastating grief and channeling it into a "Phoenix" moment, using the heat of that pain to rebuild yourself, start a business, or create a life that is more authentic than the one you lost.
    • For the "Stuck" Creative: It’s the breakthrough. When a musician or artist feels they’ve hit a wall, alchemy is the process of deconstructing that silence, finding the hidden melody within the frustration, and turning a creative block into a masterpiece.

Alchemy & Creativity: How They Correlate

Creativity is far more than just "making things"; it is an alchemical act. You are taking disparate elements (data, raw emotions, and life experiences) and fusing them together to create something that didn't exist before.

The correlation lies in The Art of Transmutation. To transmute is to change the very nature of a substance. In the creative process, you don’t just "rearrange" things; you shift the energy of your work until it takes on a life and a soul of its own. You are turning the "lead" of everyday life into the "gold" of artistic expression.

The Art of Creation: How it Comes into Being

Creation isn't an accident; it's a sequence. Alchemy teaches us that for anything meaningful to be born, it must pass through a specific cycle:

    1. Deconstruction: Breaking down old habits, outdated business models, or rigid mindsets that no longer serve you.
    2. Purification: Stripping away the "noise" and the ego to find the pure, raw intent underneath.
    3. Union: Marrying logic with intuition, the head with the heart, to forge a new path forward.

    More Than Just Art

Are you just looking at the art? Look a little closer.

In this space, "Art" has a special meaning. These pieces are not merely decorative; they are vessels for consciousness.

The Secret: Every creation holds a specific frequency. When you engage with alchemical art, you aren’t just viewing an object; you are interacting with a captured moment of high-level awareness. These pieces hold secrets; they act as mirrors, reflecting your own potential for transformation back to you.

Alchemy is the technology of the soul. It is the work of a lifetime, and it begins the moment you decide to change.

  • The Art of Layers: Why I Work in Collage

At the heart of my sessions lies a practice that is as fluid, complex, and beautifully unpredictable as life itself: Collage.

Often, we approach creativity with a desire for perfection: a straight line, a controlled brushstroke, or a predetermined outcome. But art, like the human experience, is rarely linear. I choose collage as my primary medium because it embraces the beauty of the mess. It is an honest reflection of how we live, built from fragments, textures, and layers that come together to form something entirely new.

    Why Collage?

    • Freedom Without Restriction: Collage is inherently inclusive. It allows me to bridge the gap between mediums, pulling in paper, paint, found objects, and photographs. By removing the pressure of a "blank canvas", it opens up a space where nothing is forbidden and everything adds value.

    • The Power of Imperfection: There is a profound liberation in the layers. We are all made of experiences, some messy and some refined. Collage teaches us that these pieces don’t need to be smoothed over; they need to be honoured. It is a perfect, imperfect way to channel our internal state into something tangible.

    • Meditation Through Action: The true magic happens when we stop thinking. Overthinking is the enemy of authentic creation. Collage demands a different kind of focus: one that forces you to act with a clear mind. It is inherently meditative. By physically cutting, arranging, and gluing, you bypass the inner critic. Paradoxically, the less you think, the clearer your vision becomes.

    A Space Without Judgement

In these sessions, there is no "right" or "wrong" way to create. There is no standard of excellence to meet and no judgement to fear.

I believe collage is one of the most accessible yet underutilised tools for personal growth. It is more than just a picture; it is a profound process of archaeology. Every layer holds meaning. Every tear in the paper tells a story. When we collage, we aren't just making art; we are digging deep, processing the layers of our own narratives, and finding clarity in the assembly of the pieces.

This is a space to go deep. It is an invitation to put down the weight of perfection and pick up the joy of simply being, creating, and discovering what lies within the layers.

  • Alchemy is the ancient art of taking raw, discarded items and turning them into something precious. This session uses that exact process, working on the canvas and your mindset at the same time.

    • Break Down: You begin by tearing up a collection of materials I’ve gathered over the years, including unseen pieces of my artwork, books, and vintage magazines that belonged to my late mum. Letting go of past limits helps break perfectionism and release stuck energy.
    • Build Up: You layer these fragmented pieces onto a 12-inch vinyl cover, weaving old history into a textured, one-of-a-kind piece.
    • The Shift: By turning these unused elements into meaningful art, you quiet the mind, tap into your authentic voice, and turn creative blockages into fresh momentum.

    • Your Materials

While my collection of materials and original art forms the core of your piece, I welcome you to bring personal items, old business reports, invoices, or leaflets to your session. Together, we take the exact pieces you want to shift and transform them into a brand-new perspective. Combining your items with mine creates a deeply personal connection, weaving a thread between my work, your story, and every person who has created alongside me.

You leave with more than just custom art. You take home a renewed mindset while joining a growing collective of creators doing the exact same thing.

  • A Note on Our Approach

I am not a therapist, counsellor, or trained art teacher. What I offer comes from lived experience, creativity, and understanding what it means to rebuild yourself through difficult times.

Someone once said to me, "I didn’t want therapy, I wanted someone who could relate to me." That stayed with me. Sometimes people aren’t looking to be analysed: they just want space to feel understood, reflect, create, and move forward in their own way. That is the spirit of House of Mad Alchemy.

    Creative Guidance & Boundaries

I am not here to fix or cure anyone. What I offer is a service to guide you, providing space, tools, and inspiration to express yourself. My role is to act as a supportive creative guide on your journey, not a healer or clinical practitioner. You remain fully in control of your own process and experience.

    Medical & Therapeutic Disclaimer

House of Mad Alchemy sessions, workshops, and services are creative, exploratory experiences rooted in self-expression and community. They do not constitute clinical therapy, counseling, medical advice, or psychiatric treatment. Participants are responsible for their own mental and physical wellbeing. If you require professional mental health support, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a certified healthcare professional.

The Spirit & Life Behind Collage Art

Collage is a living art form with a rich history of taking fragmented, forgotten, or discarded materials and reassembling them into something entirely new and personal. By layering existing imagery, textures, and print, collage breathes a second life into old media, giving old stories new meaning through your unique perspective.

Materials, Student Ownership & Commercial Releases

The physical artwork you create during your session belongs entirely to you to keep, frame, and display.

    • Personal Use: General workshop materials include vintage magazines, books, and found papers meant for personal artistic expression and non-commercial enjoyment.
    • Commercial Releases (Music Albums, Merchandise, Digital Releases): If you intend to use your artwork for a commercial release (such as a Spotify album cover, vinyl print, or commercial merch), please let me know prior to or at the start of your session. I can tailor your workshop materials to focus on copyright-free, public domain, original, or custom-altered elements to help ensure your final piece is safe for commercial release.
    • Copyright & Liability: If you choose to include recognizable, copyrighted third-party magazine imagery in artwork intended for commercial distribution, you remain solely responsible for any necessary image clearances or legal usage. House of Mad Alchemy provides the physical space and materials for self-expression, but accepts no liability for third-party copyright claims on commercial releases.
  • Tailored In-Person Experiences (Individual & Workplace)
