MAYA is an experiment in cross-media evolution - taking ideas born in the physical world and pushing them into a vibrant digital life.
Each portrait isn't a simple render or a single prompt; it is built from layers of my existing work across multiple traditional media. I took elements from previous physical art pieces - with select works in the collection incorporating the raw energy and textures of my spray paint graffiti - combined them with original photography, and transformed the series using signature color palettes pulled directly from my past artwork.
While the final pieces exist digitally through modern techniques and AI synthesis, their hearts remain anchored in tactile mark-making. Working through digital media feels like a new form of alchemy to me: a way to breathe fresh energy into old work, blending distinct physical origins into something entirely new.
